Dubai Day 1

Dubai airport must be the biggest airport in the world and it seemed like we had to walk about 3km to get to the baggage claim and immigration area.

Bags were collected and we cleared immigration and customs without issue.

Got a coffee and started looking for somewhere to camp for the night. Found a place near the Jumeriah Beach Resort which we thought would do the job so the next thing to do was work out how to get there. We decided to do the Metro... May not have been the best idea, as it was peak hour and the carriage filled up pretty quickly. We spent about 30 mins standing squashed in with about 800 Indians/Arabs. Taxi would have been a better option.

Checked in without issue and the got the 1000 bus to the Dubai Marina precinct. Spent a couple of hours wandering around and reverb managed to find a couple of bars for a few drinks.

Back to the hotel... Just as we nearly missed the bus.

Then headed to the Metro to go to the Dubai Mall to check out the Water Fountain show.
