Barkly Homestead

Arrived at Barkly Homestead on Friday and spent 2 nights with Murray and Yvonne. This is an amazing place, brought by the owners in '21 for around 14 million and after a fire in the kitchen last year, followed by extensive renovations it has reopened. When we arrived they were still painting the sign on the roof and we met one of the owners Susan Bassingthwaighte planting the new garden. It has been good catching up with the Hales and doing nothing except chatting, eating and drinking. Heading off today, not sure how far we will get.Read more
