Heading to Mataranka

After saying farewell to Murray and Yvonne we headed off to 3 Ways on the Stuart Highway. It was blowing a gale from the SSE and it was freezing. Luckily for us it was coming from behind us so helped us with fuel economy. After fueling up at 3 ways we headed off towards Katherine. We pulled up about 3pm and camped at what we thought was just a gravel pit but surprisingly there were lots of quite large tracks into the surrounding scrub. We went for a bit of an exploration and found a god spot to settle in for the night. I took a bit of walk and found a good variety of wild flowers on shrubs and plants.
