    Alcatraz

    Today we went to Angel Island and Alcatraz. First we went to Angel Island. Everyone was supposed to go on a tram and go around the island but the group was too big so we had to wait for the first group. Each tram ride is one hour so we had to wait for 1 hour. We ate lunch and went to a tiny nearby museum. Me and Maya had a corn dog and mammy and daddy had a tuna sandwich. I wanted to cycle but mammy and daddy said that we will cycle another day. The first group came back so we rode the tram and went around Angel Island. There were speakers on top of our trams so an audio tour tape was rolling. We rode on the tram for about 15 minutes then stopped. The driver said that this place is a good stop for photos. The view was great! So we rode on the tram for a few minutes then went back to the start point. We rode the ferry to Alcatraz. It was freezing so me and Maya got hot chocolate. At Alcatraz, we met Wendy (the park ranger) who said that we could do a walking tour and an audio tour. We did the walking tour that was for 45 minutes. During the tour, about 22 seagulls became crazy just because of a juvenile gull!
    We went to the place where they did the audio tour. We were actually in the prison building! Inside a few of the cells, we saw dummy heads of the people that escaped Alcatraz. Here is the history stuff: The chief officer got a call from the other officers. The officers said that there was an escape. The chief ran to the prison and saw the dummy heads. The officers thought it was a real head until one of the heads fell off.
    We went to the bookstore and saw a person who was a prisoner in Alcatraz for bank robbing. He is an author now, and he wrote a book about his life. It seemed interesting so I bought the book. I hope that we can come to Alcatraz again.    Lue lisää

    今日は、フェリーで エンジェル アイランドとアルカトラズ島に 行きました。エンジェル アイランド に ついたら トラム にのって 島を 一周する 予定だったのが、人数が 多すぎたので２つのグループに 分かれました。 ぼくたちは二番目のグループだったので一時間またないと いけませんでした。 その間、近くのレストランで ごはん を 食べました。 ぼくと マヤは、 コーンドッグ と いう ころもに 回りに あるソーセージを 食べました。
    そして近くのミニはくぶつかん に 行きました。その後ちがうグループがもどって来たので,ぼくたちのグループが トラムにのりました。
    ぼくたちのグループのトラムのツアーがおわった後すぐアルカトラズ島 に 行く フェリーに のりました。 ものすごく寒かったから、ホットチョコ を飲みました。
    アルカトラズ島についたら、けいむしょのオーディオツアーにさんかしました。それによると、3人のしゅうじんが だっそうしたじけんがあったそうです。朝 オフィサーが 、しゅうじんのへやのベッドから、にんぎょうの頭がおちて、しゅうじんがいなくなっていることに 気づいたそうです。ぼくは ちょっとビックリしました。
    その日に、アルカトラズ島の元しゅうじんだったおじいさんが、本屋さんにいました。 どうしてかと言うと、自分の人生のことを書いた本を 売っていたからです。チラっとおじいさんを見た時、 やさしそうに見えて、むかし アルカトラズ島にいたのがしんじられませんでした。 本がおもしろそうだったので、ママとダディに買ってもらいました。
    アルカトラズ島は ちょっとコワイと思いました。    Lue lisää

    The day with Gopal

    Today we went to the Exploratorium with my Friend Gopal. We ate a cookie while waiting for Gopal. When Gopal came, he gave me presents and I was happy. I also got a gift for him. I felt very happy to see Gopal in San Francisco!!😊
    The Exploratorium was similar to the science center in Singapore at the beginning, but actually it was more fun!! We stayed there for about 2.5 hours and then we went for lunch together😊.
    The Exploratorium was fun and playing with Gopal there was the best part of today.    Lue lisää

    Cycling

    Today we went to the palace of fine arts and the golden gate park. The palace of fine arts was beautiful!!
    We rented bicycles at the golden gate park and cycled in the park. I had asked daddy and mummy to take me to cycling for a long time so I was very happy. It was wheelie fun and I hope we can come here again.Lue lisää

    Universal studios Hollywood

    Good morning! We traveled to Universal Studios Hollywood. It took us 2 hours by car. Daddy was kind enough to get us a front of line pass! The first ride we rode on was the Simpsons ride. Maya thought that it would be her favourite ride, but it wasn’t. It was really scary. My legs were trembling after the ride! We went to the Harry Potter ride. I think the thing we rode on was a dragon. It was like the ride in Singapore.
    Maya and daddy went to a 4D Harry Potter ride.
    We went to the studio tour on a tram. It was 4D so we needed 4D glasses. There were many special effects like an earthquake and floods. The best effect of them all was the 4D effects. It seems like you are moving but you are actually staying in one place!
    There were not much rides than we expected. We drove to Disney land. It took us 2 hours to arrive @ disney land. We were staying at the hotel.    Lue lisää

    Disney California adventure park

    Another fun day is starting! We are in the Paradise Pier hotel, and the Disneyland parks are close by so we can walk to the theme parks. One is the Disney California adventure and another one is Disneyland. We went to the Disney California adventure park today. Firstly, we rode the “Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: BREAKOUT!”ride. I was really scared before we went on the ride but it was really fun! It was a lift ride with seat belts and the lift goes up and down. When it is going down you can feel gravity lifting your legs up to your waist!
    After that we went to the Grizzly river run ride, the the Cars radiator springs racer ride, the Toy story midway mania ride, the Goofy sky school (this ride was really jerky) and the Cars coffee cups. Maya was not feeling well so she went back to the hotel with daddy after the Toy story ride.
    It was a really fun day and tomorrow we are going to Disneyland.    Lue lisää

    Disneyland

    We woke up early to go to disneyland! Woo Hoo! There was an extra magic hour which meant you can go to the parks one hour earlier than usual. We rode on splash mountain, big thunder mountain railroad, haunted mansion, Buzz lightyear astro blasters, Winnie the pooh and more. Before we rode the haunted mansion ride, I was really scared but it wasn’t that bad after all. My favourite was Splash Mountain. The line for Splash mountain was normally like 1 hour but when we went the line was just 15 minutes! Splash mountain is a water slide that feels like a roller coaster. First it is really slow and relaxing but at the end there is a huge fall and you get splashed!Lue lisää

    Ireland

    We are going to Ireland 🇮🇪 today! We went to a the airport early and waited for the security check. The line was extremely long! I think we were waiting for
    45 minutes! We relaxed for about 2 years 😜then went on the plane✈️ .
    We were not heading straight to Ireland 🇮🇪. We were heading to Frankfurt. I slept in the plane because the flight was really long (10 hours). After the plane flight to Frankfurt we went on the plane to Ireland. At the airport in Ireland nanny and grandad and Caoillain were waiting for us. We went in nanny and grandad's car with Caoillain. When we reached the house, the Nintendo switch was there! Liz, Uncle David, bobby and ziggy were there.    Lue lisää

    Hiking, Golly fishing and fish fishing

    Let’s go hiking! We went hiking today at Glendalough. We went with Nanny, Liz, Eleanor, daddy, mammy, Maya and me. The weather was very funny. First it was sunny, then it was raining then it was sunny again then it was raining again then it was sunny AGAIN and then it was raining AGAIN then it was sunny. We walked for about 7 km in total. After the hiking, we went golly fishing. We went golly fishing with Nanny, Grandad, Maya and me. Golly fishing is like fishing but you get a bone (that has meat on it) from the butcher and attach the bone to string and throw the bone down. After a while, you pull it up and drop the crabs you have caught in a bucket. ( a golly is a crab).
    We caught about 35 in total it was really fun. Time for some fish fishing! We went fish fishing with Daddy, Grandad, mammy, Maya and me. We went on grandads boat but we coudn’t catch any fish. Maya was seasick so we went home. In the house Caoillain came and I taught her how to play a few games on the 3DS. Today was a really fun but busy day.    Lue lisää

    Glace de mer ( sea of ice)

    Yesterday we arrived at Chamonix. We came with nanny and grandad.(Chamonix is in France 🇫🇷).
    We woke up early and went to see the Glacé de mer (Sea of ice ) Glacier. We took something like a mountain train to reach the view point. The view was amazing!! Me, Mummy, Daddy and Nanny went down to see the Glacier and ice cave. We went really slowly because I was scared.
    Once we arrived at the ice cave, we went inside. It was freezing cold and I had to wear a jacket!!! Brrrrrrrrrrr!
    We walked up the steep slope and got on a cable car back up. I was really scared!! ( So was Nanny!!)    Lue lisää

    Morzine

    We had to go on the car for about 1 and a half hours because we were going to Morzine. The house was made out of wood. Almost everything was wood In the house. There was a PS3 game console and many board games. There were 5 bedrooms, a living room and a kitchen.

    Lac de montriond

    Time to kayak! We went kayaking at Lac de Montriond.
    Lac de Montriond is a beautiful lake ( when the weather is nice). It was a sunny day, and Mammy took very nice photos. Me and Mammy went on one kayak, Nanny and grandad went on one and maya and daddy went on one. I kept splashing Mammy ( by mistake ) and maya splashed daddy ( on purpose ). We kayaked for about 25 minutes. I was hungry we kayaked back to the shore. There was a restaurant close by so we ate our lunch. I had a ham and salami plate. It was a kids meal so they gave us 🍦 ice cream. I got Chocolat ice cream. I asked for the bill in French. Can I have the bill please is 'L'addition sil vou plait' .Lue lisää

    Rain ☔️ is very bad. It was raining for the whole day! Our cycling and laser tag got cancelled. I was re ally exited to do laser tag and cycling but I was really sad that it was cancelled. 😢Me and daddy were playing on the PS3, mammy was sleeping, we caught grandad 😴 sleep on the couch and nanny was relaxing. We couldn't do anything outdoors. (Me and maya got in the hot tub)! It felt very nice in the rain. I played taboo with Maya, nanny and grandad. (I think I know why grandad always sleeps on the couch... maybe because he drinks Guinness!Lue lisää
