.. arrived this afternoon.. as flight is early morning tomorrow .. the start of a 4 day trip to Qatar Airways F1 Grand Prix.. beyond excited😍.. and I can do posh hotels too.. sometimes.. 😏

....this is the aircraft I wanted to fly on... 6 hours and something to Doha awaits... what about morning drinking.. well.. it's gone midday in Qatar.. so I think it's ok🙂

.. my home for 3 nights.. £400 a night.. but you do get breakfast for that😏.. and it's Qatar Grand Prix weekend.. so it's cool.. and I'm on an F1 package with Qatar Airways.. so not actually paying that.. a really cool hotel.. am on 7 th floor.. and the sun is up.. had forgotten what warm sun feels like 🌞🌞Read more

TravelerYep..a massive bed..and a chaise longue🙂..am up early.. 04.45 here..and looking forward to breakfast.. which is fabulous.. the chia pudding is a new favourite.. and even the chicken sausages and beef bacon are fine.. given my friend the pig cannot be consumed over here.. 🐷🧐

.. about 30 minutes up the Red metro line... magnificent Qatari efficiency .. and shuttle buses the other end.. meant a very easy transport in ..Sprint race was at 5 pm... was at Turn 16.. night racing is a phenomenon I've only done once before.. in Bahrain.
A McLaren 1/2..a great result..only 19 laps...then back to my hotel..as a BIG day tomorrow...and need my sleep..Read more

.... what else to do early morning before breakfast.. than a bit of plane spotting.. being on 7 th and top floor of this hotel.. just seen the British Airways 787 Dreamliner land from LHR.. no doubt bringing some F1 fans in for the race later.. it's like a different world out here.. and I have approx 20 hours left of my trip.. so the order is.. breakfast.. sunbed and pool.. ..but first..needed some pool time in the warm sun at my hotel..the Qatar Grand Prix is at 19.00..giving a relaxing morning into early afternoon..for reading and music..will soon enough be back in freezing North Yorkshire..so am making the most of this☺️Read more
Traveler..destiny day meaning..for Lando Norris..any self respecting Brit must surely be hoping like me..that he can win the F1 World Championship today🧡..if he does..and I’ll be there to see ..it will cap a glorious 48 years of me attending F1 races..since 1978.

.. and an 01.50 flight from Hamad International Airport..another A380🙂..straight after the race.. a decision made in order to arrive back in LDN at 6 am..and to get home early afternoon.. Doha was exceptionally well run and organised.. free Metro service all weekend.. the circuit was still 90 minutes from my hotel..crammed a lot into 3 days...and no alcohol . seems I do just fine without😄.. wasn't the result many hoped for.. incl me .but all to play for in Abu Dhabi this weekend.. Come on Lando.. another chance beckons.. let's do this.. finally 🧡Read more
