Kabak - Fethiye - Dalaman - Istanbul

This morning we woke up and had a simple mediterranean breakfast on our little porch overlooking the magnificent coastline that we had explored the day before. 😊 There are literally dogs and cats everywhere in Turkey! Most are tagged, and have custom type houses on the streets, and also seem to be well bred in that their breeds are easily identifiable. We then walked back up the very steep hill to the bus stop in what seems to be the middle of no-where. Emre, our host kindly came to see us off. We then travelled by Dolmus (probably more dangerous than the previous days hike! 🙈) to Fethiye. From Fethiye we caught a big bus to Dalaman, and then flew to Istanbul. We arrived in Istanbul late at night as our flight was delayed. We then waited in a queue to catch a bus to Sultanahmet, the suburb in which we were staying. Our luggage had been taken from us and put on the bus while we waited in the queue. The next minute I saw the bus door closing and the bus driving away! I ran after it, as well as another guy. The bus stopped, we got our luggage, and returned to the queue. A bizarre, stressful situation, and disaster averted! 🙈Read more
