Ride and Soak

The Ride part being that we hired mountain bikes and rode from Huka Falls to the dam on Lake Aratiatia and back. A great circle track with parts grade 2 and occasional grade 3. Loved it. At 12 every day the dam is opened and water released. Very cool as this empty cavern is filled with water.
After lunch visited a cafe / art gallery just up the road which specialised in mosaics.
The Soak part of the day was our visit to the Wairakei Thermal Pools. Fantastic way to spend nearly 2 hours soaking in warm water.
BBQ for dinner and finished the day off with a game of Settlers of Catan won by Logan.Read more
