O'ahu - Hawaii

First day on land in a while, so that felt good. Arrived in Honolulu and then a trip to the Pearl Harbor Memorial and viewed the sunken Arizona Memorial. Walked around the park and took in the history of all the devastation from the initial 2 waves on Pearl.
We had a driving tour of the city and walked to the Honolulu Brewing Company where we had a couple of beers, lunch and Scott bought a tank top as a souvenir.
In the evening we attended an authentic Hawaiian Luau with the roast pig, poi and dancers. They did traditional hula dancing and with fire sticks. We had special VIP access, so we had table service rather than having to go thru the buffet line. Our escort from Viking was really great, he was funny and played good music on the bus, which really helped to pass the time (since it was almost an hour drive there and back).Leggi altro
