Lüneburg has a beautiful medieval feel to it, lots of red brick buildings.
Lüneburg was know for the underground salt and the saltworks export for over 1000 years.
Day of shopping, checked out the Gothic style Basilica of St Nicolai, which was built between 1407 and 1440, which is the smallest of three in Lüneburg but impressive none the least.
Also passed the oldest Brewery in Lüneburg built in 1517.
Then a relaxing lunch by the river and of course checked out the supermarket and as an Aussie does.... be amazed by the amount of alcohol you can pick up whilst getting your bread and milk.Read more
