    One more time

    June 10, 2017 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 20 °C

We are headed back to the Consignee with hopes that they..a) loaded our empty container during the night or b) will load us quickly this morning... It could be c)wait while they live load us

We stayed at this mom and pop truck stop that Roger knew. Old old school diner and real basic trucker facilities...but everything was clean and all that we needed.

It would have been more helpful for more places for me to hang out...we were here for several hours and I just sat in the diner...but then they got busy so I hung out in the subway. When I have my own truck I could hang out more easily in the truck...
I'm also looking forward to having my own truck so I don't have to sleep with all my bags...leaves very little leg room on the bunk.

Our live load of my took an hour and change so Roger made the right decision to leave a return in the morning. The truck next to us in the lot stayed...they had him partially loaded and shut down at midnight and didn't finish loading to the shift began at 6.

We ha EA a full day of driving ahead of us..good weather so time to get moving

  • Back to Gary

    June 10, 2017 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 31 °C

We made it back from WI to the Gary depot. I did. Pat of the driving which went well...until we were in traffic near downtown Chicago and a pick up truck had a blow out right in front of me. I handled it well but it sure made my heart beat fast.

Sitting in the driver lounge you sure hear a lot of hot air stories flying. Once again I can't wait to have my own truck so I can steer clear.

I did learn while travelling thru WI that there are cranberry bogs. I had no idea...only thought those were in New England. But low and behold intermingled between dairy farms...there were bogs.

And of course signs for CHEESE everywhere...big selection in the cases at truck stops.

Also saw at least 10 deer casualties...apparently there are tons.

    Love to all
