Well I'm back at Conley, GA and am done with Phase 2 training. I will do a driving / parking test tomorrow morning and if all goes well will be given my truck and eventually routed back to Phoenix.
Roger was a very good trainer and I can't complain at all about our time together. He was kinda grouchie old school dude but he trained me well. I know I can call him at any time to get advice.
Right now I'm in the drivers louge waiting for a bunk room to get cleaned....I hope it isn't too much longer as I would love to lay down.
I need to take my time tomorrow on my test...set the backing up right and not cut any corners on my turns....
Sending all my love to AZRead more
Also super proud. Update from Tucson, the week has just started and the air conditioning in the house I'm staying in has stopped working. Needless to say, when I got home to a house that was 92 degrees on the inside, I was not too happy. Staying at a friend's house for tonight, but I've left my brush in dad's truck from Sunday and forgot to bring work appropriate shoes with me, so have to stop back at the house early tomorrow morning to grab some. Super super super super busy with everything I have to do. Have some scheduling conflicts I think I need to work out tomorrow. Yaaaaayy. On the bright side, my class is super fun as usual. Hope y'all are doing well. Ttyl
Oh noooooo...hopefully there is someone who fixes this ASAP! Your friend is a sweetheart for letting you stay the night. Keep us posted...and you will handle all the things. Love you
After a day at Roger's we are headed back in the road toward SC.
We may be in rainy day.
More to come
We are waiting to be unloaded at Sam in distribution center...then going to pick up some water near High Springs, FL and then right back to Lakeland...and staying at Roger's house.
Looks like Roger wants to take a day off so will hang out at his house tomorrow...doing what I have no idea...it's not that big...but while in Rome...
I just want to get back to either Gary or Conley and test and get my truckRead more
I'm staying the night at Roger's house and got to meet his very sweet wife. The single-user is in a very rural part of FL...picture late 1960s frozen in time.
Sherry had dinner for us..pork stir fry which was good.
There are a million little figurines staring at me as I hang out in the spare room.Read more

We are headed to Sam's Club in FL..near Rogers house. We are running empty right now but will go pick up something in about 40 miles
On a side note...day 3 I dropped my conditioner bottle and broke the top...so I had to leave it behind....my hair is in NEED of conditioner.
Had a realively short drive. Started later than normal to miss Atl traffic. Made it to the Consignee and dropped off our gloves and then to the Roehl training depot in Conley. Rogers truck was due it's 90 inspection.
The best part for me was we got back here and there is a training area like in Gary...and it was empty. All the students were on the road...so we had the place to ourselves! I got some great work done and the last 2 parks jobs Roger said were perfect....and let's be honest he DOES NOT hand out easy compliments. I feel sooooo much better about it.
Obviously my mind is on my mom. Apparently her new med did not work well w her current meds. her sodium got way too low which can cause some serious side effects on your organs. They can't just give you lots of sodium...it has to be added slowly. So she is on IVs and they are checking her blood every 6 hours. Once the levels are better they will see if there is brain damage or and organs malfunctioning. I can't even imagine my mom not being ok.... I just had texted her last night and she said she wasn't ok....I should have called...wish I had....wish I had been able to go on the recent trip....praying for herRead more
We are only a few hours from ATL..and are starting a little later to try to avoid ATL morning traffic. I know we are delivering these medical gloves.. apparently for chemo treatments...but Roger hasn't found a job he likes yet. I also know that he has to get a 90 days inspection on his tractor...how all this plays out remains to be seen.
I hope we stay in Conley...which is where I started and I could get some practice in....but we shall see.
Glad everyone is doing well. Hard to be away from you all. It am beginning to see the glimmer of a light at the end of the tunnel.
Pray for my Mom as she is in the hospital...hopefully the IVs will stabilize things...may have just been a new medication she was on but has been super sleepy the last week.
Thanks for all the supportive messages and such. Means a lotRead more
