    Beautiful blue sky day today, perfect for some walking and exploring. The Plaza de Armas was lively today, the central market (the centre of which is mainly seafood) was stinky but full of friendly people happy to chat, and the museums too plentiful to choose. However, I had to see the Museum of Memory and Human Rights, which documents the 11 Sep 1973 military coup when Chilean life changed dramatically, to become a time of execution, torture, detention, raids, suppression and intervention into media and universities. But it also reflects on the experiences of many other countries where human rights have been abused.Read more
