Torres del Paine W Trek - day 1

Day 1: Early start and bus ride from Puerto Natales to the Torres del Paine National Park. We caught a catamaran from Lago Grey Hotel up the lake towards Grey Glacier, which is the southern tip of the Southern Patagonian ice field, the world's second largest extrapolar ice field. We then walked through low beech forests - much of which was destroyed by fire in 2011 - and along rocky river gorges with condors cruising above, until we reached the Refugio Paine Grande on the shore of Lago Pehoe.
