Antarctica Day 3

From Wilhelmina Bay we sailed overnight to Deception Island then a few hours in the relatively open Bransfield Strait to Admiralty Bay on King George Island. In the Bay are glaciers, other cliffs with very little snow and a number of Antarctic bases. We explored the inlets and got very close to a large "Cathedral" iceberg, which then collapsed just after we moved away! The rock on the hill is known as The Lord of the Penguins.Leggi altro
