Back to Canada

Funny thing happened on the way back to Canada… We knew about “ArriveCAN” a phone app that you HAVE to use to get back into Canada. When we went over we turned off our phones so we would not get roaming charges, the restaurant in Skagway didn’t have WiFi, so we didn’t bother to fill it out.
We show up at the border and sure enough no entry without it. As luck would have it (and this is pure luck), the custom’s office just had WiFi installed that afternoon. We filled it out there and were on our way. If they didn’t have WiFi we had two choices: Quarantine for 14 days and take 2 PCR tests, or go back to Skagway and fill out the ArriveCAN info.

All this at 9:00pm. We new there was a campground not far up the road. Isabelle spotted a tent at a boat launch so we stopped to check it out. Way nicer than the campground and probably one of the nicest spots we’ve camped at on our trip.Leggi altro
