• Fredericton - Shippagan

    12 juni 2023, Kanada ⋅ ☀️ 15 °C

Spent the weekend with Renée in Fredericton. We went to the market, watched her basketball game, played some disc golf, visited the art gallery, fine food and great conversations.

Monday we were off again back on the Acadian Peninsula. There are many smaller towns, all very nice and friendly. Isabelle had fun chatting with everyone and enjoying their Acadian accents.

We stopped at Shippagan, known as the fishing capital of New Brunswick, to cook some dinner. Then found what we thought was a great place to camp for the night.

A walk down to the lighthouse had a few surprises; a beautiful sunset, a couple of Herrons in the water, a momma fox and her 5 pups, and a working lighthouse with the lock ajar (so we snuck up and had a look around).

The next morning we were awoken very early by all the fishing boats. Now we know why it’s the fishing capital of NB.
