Walking through the village you visit various Acadian buildings each representing a different period in time starting in 1773. Each building had someone re-enacting life during that building’s time period. They were very much in character. Their clothes were made on site with material manufactured using period techniques, they cooked their lunch on a open fire using food grown in the village, etc. They were also extremely knowledgeable with regard to history and life at that time.

The various buildings also represented different occupations or trades including farmers, trappers, merchants, millers, politicians, coopers, bakers, tin smiths, and more.

    It was very well done.
