While in Hastings I also found the hardware shop where Thomas Long worked - F L Bone. A lovely lady called Julie showed us around and told us the history and all about the Bone family. It isn't just a hardware shop now - they mainly sell Aga stoves and kitchen fittings. Some of the original shelves from 1885 are still intact.
