Meeting with agrarian agency

On the way back we met with the agrarian agency ( government agency concerned with agriculture) and the Management of manu biosphere park. They have made a quality sello (seal/certificate) for the biosphere. They work together in this subject with a number of institutions to divide the work. Amongst others, they do capacity building.

Amongst others, there is a women group focused on honey production etc. The producers can apply for this sello (Manu quality seal). The idea is to have public activities, and production of local species, like cacao and zapote.

Zonification agropecuaria is needed in the area. They work mainly with puerto maldonado and the indigenous communities there. Looking with DRIS for things like zonification etc.

Some time ago they made an investigation of the creation of the RCA.
