• Camp Sula - bitterroot mtns

    Jul 11–14, 2024 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 88 °F

After a longer than I liked drive w/a lot of ridiculous curvy roads, we made it to the Bitterroot valley. We passed through the town of Darby and realized they were filming for Yellowstone [the show].

We set up the camper and took off to explore the area. We were looking for a place to put our paddleboard. We found a couple of lakes but nothing as nice as Swan Lake. I think we'll skip paddleboarding. It was a bit redneck vibe in the areas that had water access. Plus, if we really want water access, the Bitterroot River runs right behind the campground.

We had stopped at a farm to table farm stand & bought some meat. It's such a nice place and get this. It's all honor system. You take what you want, write down what you took, and leave your payment. It's pretty amazing in today's day.

We stopped off for a beer at Bitterroot Brewing, and we'll return there tomorrow. I was STARVING because I had nothing but coffee today, so I made redd leave after 1 beer.

We came back & cooked the ribeyes we bought today. Sadly, mine was meh. Damn grass finished beef is tough. The roast will be better.
