    Great Ocean Road!

    May 2, 2016 in Australia ⋅ 🌙 15 °C

Today was a super amazing day!

So last night we stayed at Jakes house because there was more space there and I actually had my own private room which was really nice. We woke up and headed back to Mels mom's so I could pick up all my clothes and have a shower before we set out on our adventure!

After having a quick lunch, Mel, Jamie and I headed out on our great ocean road adventure! We took Jamie's car which was the 2008 Mercedes C63 which was an amazing car to drive through such an amazing, curvy road. I ended up taking lots of videos throughout the day which I can't upload to the blog but take my word for it, the views were stunning!

We also drove by this golf course type area where we saw a big gang of kangaroos or roos as the aussies call them. Next stop was Erskine falls which was a very short hike to these beautiful tiered waterfall area. Naturally we didn't obey the signs and walked right up to the bottom of the falls 😊

My favourite place we visited was Aireys Inlet. It was like a secret area of Mels where almost nobody else went. There were cool little coves that you could climb between and then watch the ocean waves come crashing onto the shore. Mel and I spent about half hour here while Jamie rested in the car. I ended up getting quite drenched from the waves being stronger than I anticipated, but it was well worth it! 😊

Afterwards we headed back to Geelong for dinner. Jamie and I were supposed to go to Mel's basketball game but when we showed up they were short players so there was no game. Instead Jamie and I kinda just spent about an hour playing our own games of horse. I was so rusty, but I slowly found a rhythm... sort of. It was a lot of fun to play basketball with friends again. After that we pretty much just called it an early night. Tomorrow will be lazy ish I think. Goodnight everyone!
