• The Burntcoat Head Tides

How do we even describe the beauty here? Burntcoat Head Park in Nova Scotia has the largest tide change in the world. The tides coming in was an insane feat of nature, with them going up to 16 m in just 6 hours! We were only able to stay for about 4 hours of the tide rising from the lowest tide, but it was still incredible to see, especially when two sides of the water met around the island. We walked very far on the ocean floor during low tide. Erin and Maggie had to convince Emma to stay farther away from the edge! A few minutes after she moved, the rock Emma was standing on went underwater!! Halfway in our time there, we went to a really cute and very canadian diner called Snappers Bar and Grill. When Maggie said she had a nut allergy, the waiter said, "the only nuts we have here are those working in the kitchen!" Maggie had a very canadian chicken sandwich, with two slices of white bread covered in gravy, and Emma got a delicious soup. Erin got some fries since we didn't want to test out how good their gluten-free stirfries would have been 😂. Overall, it was a very fun and beautiful trip on our way from Halifax to Fredericton.Read more
