Sierra Nevadas - Family and friends!!

From Grass Valley which is in the foothills, I rode up and up into the stunning Sierra Nevada Mountains. The first night I stayed with my cousin Luke Eberle and his partner Sarai Stroup at their lovely home in Truckee CA. It was so great to see them and they were very gracious hosts! Got my laundry done 😳. We did a nice hike up to Donner Summit and then celebrated with delicious ice cream!! We had a nice dinner in town together. The Sierra Nevada is a really special and lovely place. I had only been there in the winter to ski but this was a totally different experience. The next morning I rode down through the Kit Carson Pass, which was an amazingly beautiful and remote ride. I ended up at the summer cabin of one of my high school friends, Beth Danielson. The cabin is on US Forest land and it off grid. It sits on beautiful Silver Lake. Beth got me on a paddle board which was very fun!
