Sequoia and Kings Canyon

After Yosemite, I traveled to Seqouia and Kings Canyon National Parks. My time there was tempered by the loss of our cockatiel, Petuki, in NYC. He was 25 years old and we had him since he was a baby 😢 it was his time, but I was heartbroken that I couldn’t be there. Nancy did the heavy lifting and I said good bye on FaceTime. Ugh. I imagine that he is reunited with his ancestral flock in Australia and is doing happy cockatiel things!

I did some great, albeit distracted, hiking in both Sequoia and Kings Canyon. Both beautiful in different ways. After that I headed into the desert (Mojave) and will catch up with Nancy in Las Vegas. The Mojave is currently going up to 107 degrees so I do all my riding before 10am! Las Vegas is not my cup of tea but all roads literally lead there on my way to Utah! We will have fun I’m sure. I’m just so happy to be able to spend time with Nancy. Her good friend Kathleen will meet us there as well.Okumaya devam et
