Stage 12 - along the way

It was a hot and sweaty walk today. The first half was good and it wound through some characterful villages.

We came across Atapuerca, where fossils of some of the first human beings in the world were found and there were stone pillars to mark it all. Would have been good to have stopped and gone to the exhibition centre there but we decided to push on as we didn’t have the time or energy!

The second half of the walk was through very industrial stuff on the outskirts of Burgos which made for hard and long walking.

Nick has a very swollen foot so we stopped regularly for him to rest and ice it whilst we had a welcome drink.Meer informatie
