Arriving in Burgos

Oooh it felt like forever to get here! There were 8km still to get to the centre of town when we got to the outskirts.

Walked with the lovely Elise from Paris for some of the way and we were all very weary.

We were revitalised by the sights of hundreds of footie fans pouring into the streets on their way to a Burgos v Racing match and the mood was jubilant (Burgos ended up winning)

After some confusion about how to get in (confusing instructions in Spanish about a link to unlock the door) we arrived at our gorgeous Airbnb which is right on the centre of town.

Such luxury! We have a room each and several bathrooms and it’s our home for the next two nights.

We had dinner at a restaurant about 3 steps away and Elise came to have a drink with us.Read more
