3 day trip to Atauro - Timor Leste

We walked from Kathy's house to the local docks to catch a ferry to Atauro island. It was total chaos loading, unloading, boarding the boat. Eventually everything and everyone was on board and we sailed away. We arrived at a small concrete jetty and everyone piled off. We walked a short distance through the local market stalls to Barry's Place, where we were quickly introduced to our room and provided with lunch. We stayed in a large cabin built mainly from bamboo that had 3 sleeping rooms and a nice balcony metres from the beach. After lunch Kathy and I joined a group going snorkeling on a reef a short distance directly offshore. The corals and abundant fish life was astounding. We enjoyed a few gin and tonics before a nice buffet meal in the big communal eating area.
