Yakumo to Hakodate 87km

A nice ride with a grand view of Mt Sawara across the expansive bay. We had a very nice lunch at a family restaurant and then diverted around through Onuma National Park. We were very tired by the time we made it to our guesthouse in Hakodate, the second biggest city in Hokkaido. After a good rest we headed out on foot to see some of the town. We found a really nice old traditional sashimi restaurant run by a couple in their eighties, the food was interesting and delicious. We met a Polish couple who are playing at the world music festival, which we plan on attending tomorrow.Read more
