• Day8 The Climb, packing, changing ..

    August 2, 2024 in the United States ⋅ ☁️ 25 °C

Last evening we enjoyed a tour on Pete’s boat then we had a great meal last evening at Tail O the Pup. Pete and Marian Dimmig our ministry friends joined us.

Mike closed the week with a great devotional on being a mentor and working with a mentor.

The motel was nice and we all had a good nights sleep.

We had breakfast of yogurt, bananas and muffins and we were off riding by 7 am. We rode about 11 miles to the base of White Face Mountain. Filled our water and snacks and we were rolling up the mountain. It is about a 5 mile, 3k foot climb and average incline of 8%

EVERYONE finished the climb including Rob. Rob drives our van as our SAG (support after group) driver. He drove the van to the top and rode down. Then he turned around and rode the whole way to the top. It was a very impressive endeavor.

We hiked up the stone rocks to the peak.
    Then rode down very fast!

We completed the week of riding with no crashes! PTL.

Then we ate quick, changed out of our sweaty cloths and hung up the bikes and packed the trailer. The cold cantaloupe was refreshing.

We left about noon for home. The van is full, the boys and leaders are thankful and tired.

Thanks for all your prayer support. For 100% of the boys and leaders to arrive at the top of white face is a big deal.

We are praising God for a good week.
We hope to arrive home about 9 to 10 pm
