• Embarkation Day

    Up around 6:30 am, everyone slept fairly well. Took out time getting ready since check out wasn’t until 11. We got a taxi around 10:20 am and arrived at Pier 66 just after 11. They allowed us to check in early and porters took our luggage where the taxi dropped us off. Eeeeeeasy embarkation. We had to kill time til 2:30 because the rooms were being serviced. We ate lunch at the buffet (tasted pretty good). We wandered quite a bit until we got to our room 9220. It’s a little tight but it’ll work great.

    Evening meal at 5:30 pm at Savor. I’m really digging the complementary sit down restaurants after the last cruise. Carol had Shrimp Scampi. Kyrie had shrimp Alfredo. I had the shrimp cake and rotisserie chicken.

    The show this evening was a Beatles Tribute, so Kyrie decided to chill in the room. It was really fun with lots of interaction. There’s a ton of younger people on this cruise. Kyrie signed up for the Entourage Teen program (13-17). She popped up on her own around 9 but said it was too crowded. So we watched a Disney Documentary about Penguins and got way too into it.

    Kyrie went back to Entourage but they were in the middle of a scavenger hunt. So she and I his some ducks…
