Left Garberville. Drove CA Highway 1 today. Drove through the famous redwood tree. Paid $10 for the priviledge. 😂 Unfortunately, it was a hazy day. Visited Point Arena Lighthouse. Then cut across on Mountain View Highway to get to our hotel in Santa Rosa. That was a white knuckle drive. Multiple switchbacks, steep downhill grades (16%), narrow lanes, no guardrails, no shoulder, and drops of thousands of feet just off the shoulder. The Google Earth map doesn't even begin to show the path. The Google maps screenshot does. You can barely see the road in white. Between Stewart's Point and Geyserville. The Benz' nav is pretty awesome. When we joined route 128 after the drive, it was a surprise to find ourselves in Sonoma county. The heart of wine country. Beautiful drive to Santa Rosa.En savoir plus
