    Queensland overview 🌄🐊🏃🏽‍♀️

    September 1, 2023 in Australia ⋅ 🌙 19 °C

    🔖 Before you go:
Organise yourself to go during dry season to avoid the crazy high temperatures, the rain, floads and deadly animals. Inform yourself about the dangerous species such as the cone shell, crocodiles and where they are, sharks (when can you swim), jelly fish, snakes, spiders, toads...

    🤤 Best food:
    1. Pasta nights with the girls
    2. Jay's specials (crocodrile cob loaf, linguini or pulled lamb risotto)
    3. La tabella trattoria (the arancini balls are amazing)

😏 Best places to go out:
    1. Paddy's (Airlie Beach)
    2. Beach duffs
    3. Fire in the boathouse

    🛌 Places to stay:
    1. Selina Hostel (absolutely amazing in all ways, so chill and inviting to relax with plenty of cool free activities, nice vibe and beautiful instalations)
    2. Crocodylus (inside of the Daintree, completely minimalistic and pure)
    2. Mumma's Hostel (great location, beautiful and chill)

    📝 Must do:
    1. Sailing boat in the whitsundays (Broomstick)
    2. Diving in the Great Barrier Reef
    3. See wildlife (koalas, cassoaries, crocodriles, sharks...)

    👁️Top attractions:
    1. Great Barrier Reef (either from the sky, water or boat)
    2. Forts walk to spot koalas
    3. Daintree long hike behind discovery center

    ✨Magical moments:
    1. Crocodrile spotting with Jay
    2. Daintree adventure with Cas (and Itamar whenever he appeared)
    3. Guitar night under the stars in the boat with Otto

    🔑Something this country taught me:
How hard it is to adjust to a place when you're not ready to leave the one behind.

    ♻️Something I've had enough of:
    Frozen daiquiris

    ⏳Something I will miss:
    Sunset runs in Cape G

    👣Leaving for next time:
    Spotting a dugong

    🎁To be remembered:
The fishing shirts and the mullets look (with the oz accent and mate in every sentence)
