    Honolulu Walking Tour

    This morning I headed into the very heart of Honolulu's business, political and cultural district for a free walking tour!

    Our local guide showed the group around various spots in the city including palaces, legislatures, statues and churches!

    Hawaii was not initially part of the US on its initial formation and was only colonised in the early 1900's, becoming a fully fledged state in 1959. Hawaii today is now a blend of all of these changes over the past century or so, with various cultures, races and religions all living side by side.
