After what feels like a marathon of transportation, I’ve landed back in Quito for one last night before heading to Costa Rica. It’s strange to think that just a few hours ago, I was surrounded by the wild beauty of the Galápagos.

Looking back on the past three weeks, it’s hard not to feel a twinge of nostalgia already. The boat cruise introduced me to some of the most unique wildlife I’ve ever seen, from the many iguanas basking in the sun to the blue-footed boobies with their comical, endearing courtship dances. Diving was another world altogether—an entirely new way of exploring that has me hooked.

The Galápagos offered so many unforgettable moments, from hiking volcanic landscapes to floating weightlessly through schools of fish. It’s a place that feels like it exists in its own bubble of time and nature, and I’m grateful to have been a part of it, even for a short while.

I’m leaving you here with some of my favorite pictures from this remarkable corner of the world. Costa Rica is calling, and I can’t wait to see what’s next!
