Paihia back to Auckland

Coach day back to Auckland we stopped at Kawakawa to see the Hundertwasser toilets - the most photographed toilets in New Zealand!! Completed in 1999 and named after the Austrian artist who designed them.
We stopped for lunch at Whangerei the northern most city in New Zealand, a beautiful spot by a river, with a huge sundial and fascinating rolling ball clock, which tells the time using 35 balls to display hours, minutes and seconds, totally mesmerising! We had a lovely walk along the river.
We arrived back in Auckland at 4pm, then met with all our fellow travellers, including our coach driver. Laurie & Tour Leader Alex for drinks and a sharing meal, we have travelled with a lovely group of people and it was a fabulous way to end our time together in New Zealand.
