• Day 8 heading towards the Inside Passage

    September 20 in Canada 🌬 13 °C

Another lovely day of doing very little and enjoying every minute of it! 🍹

After breakfast, we said goodbye to Lara and Ian, who retired to their stateroom feeling a little seasick from the motion of the ship. The remaining four of us headed to the Crow’s Nest for a drink, deciding it was a case of “kill or cure” with the boat rocking! We chilled out, watched the swell and then headed to The Lido for a spot of lunch.

After lunch, we made our way to the theatre for a talk about which wildlife to look out for and what animals we might spot during the trip. It started at 2 pm, and the photos tell their own story: Gra’s was taken at 2.04 pm and Jon’s at 2.07 pm! Gra lasted four minutes of the speaker’s monotone voice, while Jon managed seven. Cid and Jo then got a fit of the giggles and struggled to compose themselves, although thankfully they didn’t get asked to be quiet! 😂

After the talk, we retired to our rooms for a relaxing afternoon before meeting up later for dinner. The evening meal was delicious, our waiters Tulus and Feri very entertaining, as was the fact the cans of beer wouldn’t stay still on the table!! Then the Great Dueling Pianos 🎹🎶. There was plenty of music, laughter and entertainment!! A new experience of walking uphill and running downhill with the swells of the ship as we hit 16ft waves overnight…

When we returned to the cabin, we found our towel creation shaking on the bed because of the rocky sea 😂. Another lovely day of making memories together! ❤️
