Bucharest Tour

We did a free tour around Bucharest, visiting the different important spots in the city.
- Coltei church

- Sfantul George nou (Iglesia de San Jorge) - Here we learned about some orthodox rithuals, like taking the holy water to drink in the morning (only if fasting), and the boxes for the candles for the dead and the living.
- Lupa Capitolina statue: to remind us of the Roman past of the country.
- San Anton church/square burnt during the great fire and only survived a picture from San Anton.
- Old town / medieval town
- Stavropoleos church: it’s actually a monastery with 7 monks living there.
- Romanian state bank, History museum and Savings state bank, all in new French style, built during Carol I and Ferdinand.
