I’m a big cathedral man - it just amazes me how they built these fantastic structures with only basic tackle such as a pulley and scaffolding - the Health and Safety brigade would have shut the works down [Neil]
Neil is right.......amazing feat of engineering getting these huge structures built using just hand tools over many, many years. Getting items to the site, such as blocks of stone, is a challenge in itself for oases and cart. [Fiona]
