Today's trip out is to visit some small villages and coves along the east coast.
We're starting at Kalami where there is a house which used to belong to Lawrece Durrell, brother of Gerald Durrell. It's a tiny village with a pebbley beach and again crystal clear water. We sit and have a drink in Thomas's bar overlooking the bay.
The next stop is just around the bay to the small harbour overlooking Houhulio Beach. You can't actually drive the car down to the harbour it's so small, but there is a taverna selling fresh fish dishes.
Next, we stop just up the road at a view point, we are now at the closest point to Albanian we can be, we can actually see the beaches and houses.
The last stop is Agios Stefanos, again a very small cove come harbour with a few tavernas and a couple of shops. It's lunchtime, so we stop to eat at a small taverna with it's own jetty for customers to arrive by sea, a they did. We watched two small boats depart after dining. The meal was nice, but no pictures, I forgot.
Back to the apartment and one last chance for a dip in the pool. Fi's in straight away, but Martin takes a bit of persuading, but he does take the plunge, literally, and then wishes he hadn't, bugger it's cold.
Packing done, and we're off for our last meal. We're returning to the first and best taverna of the week, Salt and Pepper just down the road, 3 Moussaka's and a Lamb Shank, Baclava, free bread and Pork starter and free Lemonchello, what more could you want.もっと詳しく
