Blue Lagoon, Day 1

We arrived at Blue Lagoon at around 1.30pm feeling a bit tipsy from the free wine on the ferry. After disembarking the boat, a man called a roll call and told you which cabin was yours. We were initially pointed in the direction of an ocean front bure which was incredible, only to find people in it and that ours was actually in the garden area with a shared bathroom 😅

We then headed to the restaurant for a briefing and for lunch (local whitefish, I had cous cous and Isaac had some root vegetable fries). I had horrible constipation, worse than I've ever experienced before so that wasn't great! We went for a snorkel, put our names down for some activities and did our mandatory COVID RAT test.

For dinner my feet were eaten alive by mosquitos after waiting two hours for dinner because they couldn't record our name when we tried to book a time at 4pm. I was incredibly HANGRY by that stage.

The resort is absolutely beautiful because the location is STUNNING. The water is so clear and blue and the sand is white with contrasting palms. The sunset was also gorgeous.. the good far outweighed the bad, and Isaac kept reminding me that all that really matters is that we're here together. Czytaj więcej
