Road Trip! Cuenca-Asturias

Asturias seems to be a better end for me than Santiago, even if I don’t arrive on foot. Maybe it’s the Spanish literature nerd (La Regenta)…anyway, walked the 5 km to the AVE station in Cuenca to pick up my rental, and spent the day behind the wheel (do not eat at Tudanca! Lesson learned!) Started raining in Cantabria, but I still went to a place I had only been to once (back in 2011), Basilica de Covadonga. Crashing at the foot of my favourite bridge in Cangas de Onis before returning the car in Oviedo tomorrow.

Asturias es un destino final para mi Camino que Santiago, incluso si no llego a pie. Quizás es porque soy friki de la literatura española. (La Regenta). Caminé 5 km a la estación de AVE en Cuenca para recoger el coche de alquiler y pasé el día conduciendo. (No comas en Tudanca. Aprendí eso hoy). Empezó a llover en Cantabria, pero todavía fui a un sitio donde solo he estado una vez, la Basílica de Covadonga. (Cuadango en asturiano). Duermo al pie de mi puente favorito (y un sitio de peregrinación para mi jaja) en Cangas de Onis antes de devolver el coche en Oviedo mañana por la mañana.Leer más
