I will search for your wikiloc tracks to see how you came from Uharte-Arakil, because as you know I did an out and back from Arbizu, and I think your idea is much better. (so long as there is no kilómetro vertical).
Pablo SetmeravellesSo apparently this sends, not starts a new line. So I think the entire thing is vertical…I can’t imagine how much more vertical km is that how I went up. When I saw the bifurcation, I was like what? I thought I missed it and had just done it! Out and back from Arbizu also must have been just as rough. But we made it!

I very much wanted to see this dolmen. Since I repeated the tunnel loop, I didn’t go past it and I was bummed. And then once I was in Salvatierra, there were no cabs to take me out. Next time!
Pablo SetmeravellesThere were a few churches (no idea If Romanesque) too (in the towns). The dolmen was really cool! It isn’t too far to walk back to depending which route you take to Salvatierra. I’m tempted to do a 8 km to see another and just train into Vitoria since I did that etapa in 2023 (complete with Estíbaliz), but I probably will just stick to the half stage since I have a lot to do tomorrow afternoon. RocJumper’s track has a lot of deviation from the standard Camino, which was a plus.

Laurie ReynoldsIf you’re not afraid of heights, consider the tirolina. It goes across the gorge. I had made up my mind that I was going to do it when I was not going to be afraid, and then when we got there, I was really bummed to find out that it was closed. It must be truly exhilarating.
