The Shard is one of the few buildings in the London skyline that I know of. We got a very good view of it from Sky Garden. The Shard also has an observation deck but, unlike Sky Garden, it's not free. A trip to the top of the Shard will set you back 27 for advanced bookings or 32 for walk up tickets.
