The Gherkin

The Gherkin is another British skyscraper that I know about. I have no idea what the name is supposed to mean but it sounds Indian to me. I first learned about this building from the game SimCity. This is one of the landmark buildings you can get in the game but I never thought it was a real place until I started researching London for our trip. Surprisingly, for such a unique building, it's used for office space only and the general public is not allowed inside. There is no observation deck either.Read more
