Being that I use a cane now, we were allowed to be among the first passengers to board the plane. I liked that we had no problem struggling to secure space in the overhead bins for our bags. The flight attendant was worried that I was taking pictures of her when I got this shot. How ridiculous! In fact, I was waiting for her to either leave the frame or get far enough away that it wouldn’t matter.Read more

These same slot machines are surrounded by glass walls so that people can go inside and smoke. I can’t imagine smoking being allowed anywhere at an airport but they obviously do things differently here. I can’t say that I approve of it.Read more

Despite having that smoking section, the airport in Las Vegas is actually very nice. It’s very open and spacious but maybe a bit empty. I think some more artwork or displays would go a long way here.

There’s slot machines all over this airport, not just in that smoking section. They kind of make the place look very crowded and chaotic. I guess there’s no room for art displays after all.

We’ve eaten at the Hash House A GoGo before and while the food is very good, it’s not quite as good as we remembered it. I think this happens a lot over time. When we experience something, and really like it, it gets so built up in our mind that the reality just can’t compare to the memory, even if the experience is identical.Read more
