  • Yoda

    March 5, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 64 °F

This seems to be the sort of stuff being sold in the shops on Appian Way. I like this sort of shopping and browsing much better. As beautiful as the Forum Shops were, I know that there was nothing there that I would want to use. This is more my speed!Read more

  • Shopping by Night

    March 5, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 64 °F

I'm loving the feel and atmosphere of the Appian Way shops. The painted ceiling and moody blue lighting makes me feel like I'm walking around outside at night. There's several places here in Las Vegas who use this effect and all of them are very convincing.Read more

  • Faces

    March 5, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 64 °F

The Appian Way shops still maintain, just a bit, the look of ancient Rome. Those giant heads look like could have just fallen off of some statue from the heyday of the Roman empire.

  • Have a Seat!

    March 5, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 64 °F

Those big marble heads aren't status at all! They are actually seats, in case visitors want to have a bit of a rest while shopping. What a great idea! These are probably the most unique looking benches that I've ever seen!Read more

  • Fountain of the Gods

    March 5, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 64 °F

Even if you’ve seen it a hundred times, the Fountain of the Gods at The Forum Shops inside Caesars Palace is always a sight to behold. Whatever “sight to behold” means. Because seeing something kind of implies you’re beholding it. Then, again, it’s better than a “sight to see.”Read more

  • Pegasus

    March 5, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 64 °F

Here's today's awkward trivia: Pegasus was sired by Poseidon. We're not entirely sure how something like that would work though.

  • Kathy

    March 5, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 64 °F

In Roman times, the forum represented the center of a city, the site of the most important religious, political, and social activities. In modern-day Las Vegas, the Forum Shops at Caesars mall serves a similar purpose: It’s the heart of the city’s retail culture.Read more

  • Fountain of the Gods

    March 5, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 64 °F

The Forum Shops, Sin City’s oldest mall, certainly has celebrated a lot of firsts since opening its doors in 1992. It was the first shopping center to bring designers such as Versace, Armani, Salvatore Ferragamo, Fendi, Gucci, and Valentino to town, and the first to incorporate thematic and period design elements such as columns, fountains, streetscapes, and a painted ceiling designed to replicate the Mediterranean sky. The Forum Shops also were home to Vegas’ first real destination restaurant—Wolfgang Puck’s Spago (now located at the Bellagio)—and the first attempt to incorporate zany attractions to keep shoppers coming back for more.Read more

  • Kathy

    March 5, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 64 °F

We've seen so many beautiful and wonderful things here in Las Vegas already but my favorite subject for photography is still Kathy. She's everything to me!

  • Athena

    March 5, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 66 °F

Not only can Pegasus be seen in this beautiful fountain but Athena is there as well. Kathy has a friend named Athena but I don't think that she's anywhere near as smart as the goddess of wisdom.

  • One Last Look

    March 5, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 66 °F

With a last look, and photo, at the fountain, were ready to move on and see what else this mall has for us to see. Everything here has been amazing so far!

  • The Atlantis Show

    March 5, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 66 °F

This is the next big attraction that we came to in this mall. This is an animatronic display of fire, water and nine-foot-tall talking statues. The story is set in the kingdom of Atlantis, when King Atlas has to decide which of his bratty kids will rule the throne. We'll have to wait a bit for the next show to start but it sounds fantastic!Read more

  • King Atlas

    March 5, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 66 °F

I'm not sure how long this attraction has been in service, but this seems to be very old technology. The animatronics are weak compared to what you will see at the Disney Parks. The story is somewhat interesting, but hard to follow since it is so loud in this space.Read more

  • Athena

    March 5, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 66 °F

As near as I could understand the story, King Atlas is stepping down as ruler of Atlantis and his two children, Athena and Mars are fighting about who should be the new ruler. This is a Athena. She looks quite different from her depiction in the fountain we saw earlier.Read more

  • Mars

    March 5, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 70 °F

We were standing very close to Mars so, obviously, we got the best views of him. His flaming sword was a nice touch.

  • Waterworks

    March 5, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 70 °F

Although the animatronics are dated and the sound system was not good, the pyrotechnics and waterworks are amazing. It's worth seeing the show for those effects alone.

  • Go See This Show

    March 5, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 70 °F

In conclusion, this show should be on your Las Vegas itinerary for a few reasons. It's a fun show, it's free, it's fast and it's easy to see. If you're in Caesars already, it's definitely worth a look.Read more

  • Gordon Ramsay Pub & Grill

    March 5, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 68 °F

As we entered the Caesars Palace resort, the first place that we saw was the Gordon Ramsay Pub and Grill. This is the most authentic English pub experience in Las Vegas, as only a native UK chef can provide. I love Chef Ramsay's restaurants and definitely want to try this one!Read more

  • A Brief Stop

    March 5, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 68 °F

Before we went any further we decided to pay a quick visit to the restrooms. I'm impressed that Cesar's Palace extends their Roman theme everywhere, even in their restrooms. I'm glad that the place was deserted, allowing me to get this shot. If anyone was there, of course, I never would have even attempted it.Read more

  • The Coliseum

    March 5, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 68 °F

Before we got to the casino we went past the Coliseum. Celine Dion has been playing here for a few years now. Kathy is a fan of hers and I offered to get tickets to the show for us but Kathy refused, saying that the tickets are too expensive. The price doesn't matter to me. I think that we should just concentrate on having a good time while we're here and not worry about costs while we're on vacation. Obviously, Kathy feels differently so we're not going to see Celine Dion on this trip.Read more

  • The Casino Floor

    March 5, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 68 °F

The casino floor wasn't very crowded at all. I was surprised by that but also happy because it allowed me to take a few pictures. I only got the areas where there was no people around. A lot of casinos don't allow photography and I wasn't sure about the rules here. I figured that I was safe taking pictures of an empty area.Read more

  • Gaming Tables

    March 5, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 68 °F

Even casinos that have liberal photography policies usually don't allow it at all at the gaming tables. Even pictures taken with cell phones are forbidden. I'm not sure why these are such sensitive areas, but those are the rules. Like the picture in the previous entry, I saw a completely empty area and quickly took advantage of my good fortune.Read more

  • Hell's Kitchen

    March 5, 2019 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 68 °F

Now this looks like it would be a great place to eat! We saw this restaurant as we came out of the Caesars Palace resort. I'm really hoping that we get a chance to try this place before we leave.
