Dracula's Haunted Castle doesn't look so scary or exciting during the daytime. It's amazing what the proper lighting can do to set up a mood! Looking like this, I wonder how much business this place does during the day. I'm guessing that nights are their busy times.Meer informatie

I don't know how I missed this place last night, especially with all these bright vivid colors. I'm surprised this is all left out in the open while the place is closed. Even if people leave it alone, the weather up here in Canada can be rough, especially in the winter months.Meer informatie

I'm all packed up and ready to get back on the road, just as soon as the traffic light lets me leave the hotel parking lot. It will be good to see Veronica again. It's going to be a long, lonely drive in this fog to get to SUNY Geneseo. At least I have my Chewbacca, a bag of donuts from Tim Hortons, and some great music to keep me company.Meer informatie

Back in the USA

I just passed through the customs station at the border and I'm back in America. This was a much easier and pleasant experience than what I went through as I entered Canada yesterday. Was it really only yesterday? It feels like it was longer than that. The American border officers were very friendly and, after a look at my passport, let me through right away. Since it's early Sunday morning, I didn't even have to wait on a line. I was the only car there to pass through. It's great to be back in the USA!Meer informatie

The Pick Up

I'm at SUNY Geneseo now. I'm here to pick up Veronica and taking her back home. I'm surprised by how much stuff she has packed up to take home with her. I hope that we can get it all in the car! I'm glad that we're using the big Honda Pilot. If we had anything smaller, I don't think we would have made it.
This is Veronica's dorm building. Her friends helped a lot with loading up the car. This is the first time that I'm meeting them but they seem very nice. I know Veronica is going to miss them a lot.Meer informatie

It All Fit!

I can't believe that everything fit in the car! It's shocking how much stuff that Veronica had at school with her. I've never stayed in a dorm but, if I did, I think that the stuff I'd bring would be very minimal. Most of the carrying was done by Veronica and her friends while I arranged everything inside the car. Working together, the four of us got it done a lot faster than I expected. Team work is always a great thing!Meer informatie

One Last Stop

Before we left, we had to stop at the Student Union so that Veronica could turn in her keys to the dorm. I was surprised by how nice the Student Union here is. It's so clean and colorful!
So, the cars all packed up, she's said goodbye to her friends and her keys have been turned in. We're ready to go home! Bye, SUNY Geneseo!Meer informatie
