KFC Go Cup

I must have spoken too soon because, once I got back into the main towns, the traffic started getting bad. I realized that I no longer had time to stop and sit down for a meal so I stopped at the KFCBaca lagi
The Walk

After parking the car in the lot, I started walking to Sleepy Hollow's Old Dutch Church to see the Legend of Sleepy Hollow show. The view as I was walking there was fantastic! I felt as if I was goingBaca lagi
Ichabod and the Horseman

This elaborate sculpture of Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman are close to the Old Dutch Church, where I was headed. I like this sculpture a lot but I've never yet gotten a photo of it that I'mBaca lagi
The Pumpkin King

Across the street from the Old Dutch Church was the entrance to Horseman's Hollow, an outdoor area to walk around in, filled with all sorts of scary things. These big scarecrows were left standingBaca lagi
Outside of Horseman's Hollow

I'd love to experience Horseman's Hollow, and take pictures of everything there, but I don't really like the sort of haunted houses that have real people jumping out at me. As much as I want to visit,Baca lagi
Welcome to Horseman's Hollow

The closer I got to the entrance to Horseman's Hollow, the more frightening and sinister the scarecrows were becoming! Yes, I think that I'll definitely be skipping Horseman's Hollow!
The Old Dutch Church

This is the inside of the Old Dutch Church in Sleepy Hollow. It's just about time for the show to start. I'm glad that I got here early enough to get a good seat. I'm sitting on the aisle seat of theBaca lagi

At the Sign of the Bridge

This is the spot where Ichabod Crane supposedly crossed the bridge to escape from the Headless Horseman. It's right outside of the Old Dutch Church. Seeing this sign as I left the Irving's LegendBaca lagi
Strike Up the Band

As I headed back to the car to drive over and see the Blaze I passed through the entrance to Horseman's Hollow again. Now, it was so crowded and everyone seemed to be having a great time. There wasBaca lagi
Welcome to the Blaze

There are some experiences every family should try once. Then there are annual events that, after you try them, you vow to do every year forevermore. That's how I feel about the Great Jack O' LanternBaca lagi
Going In

Even though I got here early, I had to wait until 8:30, the time listed on my ticket, to go in. There's lots of people here tonight and I guess that's the best way for rthe workers here to keep thingsBaca lagi
The Pumpkin Zee Bridge

One of the first displays that I saw was this Pumpkin Zee Bridge, a nod to the Tappan Zee Bridge, which is a often crossed bridge in the Hudson Valley area. This display was big and elaborate, evenBaca lagi
Swimming Haunted Seas

This sea serpent is very impressive but I've seen him several times already. He looks great but I'd really like to see some new creations!
The Sea Serpent

Here's a closer look at the sea serpent. The artistry of the pumpkin carvers is amazing! After getting a closer look, I think that this sea serpent could easily pass as a Chinese dragon.
Pumpkin Artistry

These pumpkins have been carved, and arranged, to look like the stained glass windows of a church. This looks great and it's such a creative idea!
The Cake

This is another display that has been around for a few years. Originally, it was set up as for the 10th anniversary of the Blaze but now it's just reused each year with no mention of any anniversary.
The Zodiac

This was something new. All of the zodiac signs were made out of pumpkins, mounted on these display boards, and then arranged in this clearing. I saw lots of people taking pictures of each otherBaca lagi
All Aboard!

This circus train had many cars, each with a different animal inside. This display was very long and, even using my widest lens, I couldn't get the entire train in one shot. Here's a piece of itBaca lagi
The Carousel

This carousel was a big hit with visitors and I had to wait a while before I could get a shot of it without and people standing near it. I think the carousel was popular because it's new this year.Baca lagi
The Corridor

This display has been there every year I've gone to the Blaze but I always love seeing this and think that it's probably the best part of the Blaze attraction. It can't be shown in a photo but theBaca lagi
Where is Everyone?

I'm surprised, and happy that I was able to get a shot of this corridor looking so empty. Usually, it's packed with people lingering inside to enjoy the lightshow.
Moving On...

The lightshow corridor was fantastic, as always, and I was very lucky to see it with so few people around but I'm ready to move on and see what else the Blaze has to offer this season.
Pegasus

This is the sort of display that's usually seen at the other pumpkin display over in Westbury, the Rise of the Jack-o'-Lantern's. In fact, this is the only sort of display that they have in Westbury.Baca lagi
The Road Goes On, Ever On

This is what's on the other side of the lightshow corridor, a trail that looks like it goes on forever and a spooky looking cabin. Occasionally, you are able to hear galloping hoofprints and aBaca lagi
