As the vehicle continues forward, we pass by hieroglyphics on the walls. On the right, a set of stairs leads to a glowing red jewel. The ride announcer then informs guests that they are in an ancient burial chamber, where the priceless jewel is held. Mugsi cannot believe what she sees, and she goes to get the stone, telling guests to stay put. After she exits the vehicle, the narrator warns her:
"I've seen enough movies to know that you really shouldn't even think about trying to steal that jewel."

  • The Finale

    21 Ekim 2013, Amerika Birleşik Devletleri ⋅ ⛅ 88 °F

Following the Wizard of Oz scene the trams stop moving in front of a large movie screen. Here we see film clips from so many movies that it's hard to keep track of them all. I always try naming them all but the scenes pass by too quickly. It's fun to try though. This is a really great way to end this attraction.Okumaya devam et

  • One Last Look

    21 Ekim 2013, Amerika Birleşik Devletleri ⋅ ⛅ 88 °F

The writing of this trip report is long after I was actually in Walt Disney World. I'm not even sure that the Finding Penguins app existed in 2013. If it did, I didn't know about it. Anyway, at the time of this writing, the Great Movie Ride has been dismantled and closed down. This makes me, and lots of other fans, very sad. I didn't know it at the time, but this was my last ride on this wonderful attraction. Had I known, I would have rode it several more times today.Okumaya devam et

The park's Chinese Theatre is a full-scale replica of the original building in Hollywood; Imagineers even used the original building's 1927 blueprints in the construction of the park's theatre. At the time the attraction opened, the actual theater's name was "Grauman's Chinese Theatre" and later "Mann's Chinese Theatre", however, the park's proper name for this version of the building is simply "The Chinese Theater". Okumaya devam et

  • Balloons

    21 Ekim 2013, Amerika Birleşik Devletleri ⋅ ⛅ 88 °F

I love to see big colorful collections of balloons like this. I think they always looks so happy and festive! Oddly enough, even though I love to look at the balloons, I can't remember ever buying one, except when our kids were very young. I feel they are nicer to just look at and admire then having to walk around the parks all day holding on to them.Okumaya devam et
