Scooter (black &) blues

About four days after we rented the scooter, we went out on a little outing to go buy some veggies at the market. On the return trip, a beautiful sunny day, we rounded a corner, hit a patch of sand on the road, and the next thing you know, we were on the ground. Ouch! It was a popular corner for crashing, apparently. A few locals came out to assist us, providing medical supplies and treatment. They offered to drive our scooter home for us, but it was unnecessary. The local people were incredibly generous.
We were lucky not to be hurt worse, and it's taking a long time to heal. The worst part is the PTSD. It was very difficult riding it to the store a couple more times and returning it to Chaing Mai. Anna has not recovered.Read more
